Summary:

After several years in operation this platform’s export cable broke. To investigate the cause, an OrcaFlex model was created to represent the as-built moorings and cabling characteristics and to understand what caused the critical failure.

Results:

An accurate working model of the as-built platform was built alongside a Python script to run multiple environment conditions.
