Summary:

WINDWARD’s goal is to design and validate a circular 18MW Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT) with three main key innovations: (1) a simpler and lighter, more reliable novel turbine design; (2) a thruster assisted taut mooring system for deep waters; and (3) a sustainable, recyclable, and corrosion-free concrete floater.

Result:

Coordination of a consortium with 14 partners and technical proposal writing leading to the successful submission of a Horizon Europe Proposal. The consortium is now awaiting the result of the evaluation.
